This is a detailed overview of my Travel Film Preset Pack.

You'll find detailed information for each preset, including the look it creates and the subjects it works best with.

For the best results, I recommend adjusting the temperature and tint sliders, as well as adjusting the exposure, highlights, and shadows if needed.

Each preset also comes with a chart that shows whether it introduces a certain color cast, along with the levels of contrast, saturation, and clarity you can expect.

At the end of each section, you'll find a selection of sample images edited with the corresponding preset.

TRAVEL FILM - PRESET GUIDE

Foliage creates a gorgeous warm, low-contrast look with softened highlights that works well across a wide variety of scenes. It adds a subtle softness to images, making them feel as if they were taken on a balmy summer day.

Since the colors remain very neutral, this preset works particularly well for travel, portrait, and landscape photography and, as the name suggests, is a perfect fit for foliage and all kinds of green hues.

For the best results, I recommend using a warmer white balance and lowering the exposure slightly.

Classic Negative is an evolution of one of the presets included in the old Film Roll Preset Pack. It creates a clean, fresh look with an emphasis on deep colors and natural color contrast by adding a subtle touch of teal to the image.

It's a great option for making images look colorful without over-saturating them and is best suited for urban, street, and travel photography.

If you prefer a warmer look, simply increase the white balance slightly. The preset will still retain its natural color contrast.

Contemporary is inspired by a Leica Look of the same name, adapted to my own taste. It provides strong contrast with bright midtones and an emphasis on magenta. The resulting images feel clean and modern, with a limited color palette that pays homage to classic film hues.

It works exceptionally well for street photography and is also a great option for general travel photography. In some situations, however, the preset can be a bit heavy on red or green hues, making it less suitable for portraits or foliage.

For the best results, try using a slightly cooler white balance to further enhance the clean look of the preset

Editorial is designed as a warm, neutral preset with low saturation and desaturated shadows. It creates timeless, refined images and makes it easy to combine different styles and genres into one cohesive look.

For that reason this preset works well across all types of photography from travel and urban photography to portraits and commercial work as it renders skin tones beautifully.

For the best results, I recommend lowering the exposure slightly and adjusting the white balance to best suit your scene.

Film Noir plays with a stronger split-toning effect, infusing the highlights with a warm, greenish tint while keeping the shadows nicely neutral. The lower brightness and strong contrast make it a great option for adding a little pop to your images without over-saturating them.

The preset is perfect for images taken during golden hour, enhancing the warm, golden glow and making scenes feel more vibrant.

For the best results, try adding a slight magenta tint to keep the overall look more neutral.

Eternal is another Leica Look inspired preset, built around strong contrast and high saturation. It really shines when you want to emphasize vibrant colors in a scene, creating bold, impactful images.

This preset is especially effective at night, where it beautifully enhances street lights and fluorescent lighting. It also works well for lower-contrast scenes that could benefit from a little extra punch.

For everyday scenes, I recommend reducing the preset's opacity for a more balanced look.

Retrochrome is a black-and-white preset that leans heavily into bloomed highlights, faded blacks, and a subtle bluish color cast. It also adds plenty of grain and a slight vignette, giving images a soft, vintage feel while still maintaining a good amount of contrast.

It can be used across all kinds of scenes where you're aiming for a nostalgic, vintage look.

The preset is quite sensitive to exposure, so make sure to dial in the brightness carefully for the best results.
